I take great pride in my appearance both in and out of the public's eye, but i also know when to allow myself to be responsibility and considerably free- unshaven and comfortably dressed. So when it's time to make certain decisions that alter my appearance that the public would not otherwise be unaware of, i take advantage of those opportunities and make them unique.
I'm addressing "manscaping" or "Man-icuring". it's the process of trimming and/or shaving your chest, armpits, back, shoulders, backside, and pubic hair. What I have Learned is less is more and i prefer whats most presentable and hygienic to take care of. Hair holds odors and can be unsightly in public places, even embarrassing if not well tamed, but if you take the time to manicure your body you will find that you are pleasantly more physically attractive to both you and those around you who are fortunate enough to witness your bareness. What works for others may not be the best option(s) or the approval of others such as having a shaved pubic area that may represent a prepubescent boy, but this could also be seen as a welcoming and erotic visual; You'll feel highly sexual and clean- smooth. I could elaborate to further express the benefits of having a shaved or trimmed pubic area, but I'm sure you can imagine the self pleasure and the pleasure others may experience from having the aforementioned.
Speaking on behalf of the chest, armpits, back, shoulders, and backside, you want to display a well groomed look, an appearance that speaks of your value and self worth as well as your character. Lack of grooming encourages lack of hygiene care, which leads to a lack of attraction. Trim or shave those areas to fit your body type and style as well as your personality. Express your freedom and announce to the world that, "I am hygiene and sexually conscience" You're not announcing that you are sexually available nor are you soliciting sex, but you are announcing that you are clean, self-aware, and can be trusted; it's far deeper than you can imagine.
Other areas of man-icuring that we as men are skeptical to embrace are the more commonly known areas such as finger and toe nails. Men, it's not unmanly to get mani/pedicures. Again, this shows your ability to maintain your hygiene outside of soap and water, which is considered the least effort, but most important to be publicly acceptable and accepted in social settings.
Let's leave the stereotypical mentality that, "a man must be [well] hairy- fully manly" and embrace the mentality and culture of, "a man should be responsible for himself physically"- it's just not for the ladies.
