Keys? Check. Phone? Check. Bag? Check? Bag? Yes, bag or as society has labeled it, "man bag". "Why on earth would you need a [man] bag" is the question most have, but what they fail to realize is that with the onset of ELECTRONIC devices, credit/debit/gift cards, money, change, device chargers, personal NECESSITIES, and the likes one's pockets can become quite full and unseemly. What else to carry the load other than a fashionable personal assistant such as the "man bag"?
Bags are not gender specific, although they may be gender depicted based upon their style and shape. Common bags men are custom to carry are messengers, totes, briefcase/satchels, and backpacks. Which bag a man carries denotes his style and life's necessities. Generally the messenger bag carrier is more mobile than the average male who may bike to work or rely on public transportation and a messenger would prove to be the most secure for travel. The tote carrier is simplistic in their style and doesn't have much to organize, however appreciates the CONVENIENCE of what the tote offers. Briefcase/satchel carriers are business men with style that embrace ORGANIZATION, but do not want to sacrifice fashion to do so. Backpack carriers are also considerd mobile, but with greater organization requirements who don't want restrictions when actively traveling, although backpacks prove to be less secure than messengers when in a crowd.
For centuries women have been the only ones validated in their constant COMPANIONship of the bag while men were only accepted to tote on occasion (i.e. school, work, etc.) Never had is been considered that men who appreciate their appearance, versatility, and everyday needs would have use for constant COMPANIONship of a bag. But with great needs come great change and change, it is good.
